She used to be very insecure and self conscious, which is kind of refreshing for someone so amazing.

Met him at his son’s cello recital. I was in fifth grade and way too shy to go talk to him so my younger brother got a picture with him instead. He seems incredibly down to earth. I’ve always admired his directing, esp in his versatility, but I’ve heard he’s an amazing person as well.
